COMMUNITY, CHARITABLE COMMITMENT & EVENTS

At The Scottish Celebrants Organisation, we believe that every ceremony should be special. Whether we are celebrating love, welcoming a new life, or honouring a life well lived, our work is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, professionalism and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference within our communities.

Our celebrants are united by a shared framework of beliefs and values, placing kindness, respect, integrity and community at the heart of everything we do. Through every ceremony we conduct, we strive to create meaningful experiences while supporting causes that improve the lives of others across Scotland.

SUPPORTING SCOTTISH CHARITIES

Giving back has always been an important part of who we are. We are proud to support a number of Scottish charities that make a lasting impact on individuals, families and communities throughout the country.

Each year, 10% of all ceremony booking fees are donated to our charities, helping them continue their invaluable work. Every couple has the opportunity to choose which of the wonderful charities we support will receive their donation:

Calums Cabin
National Trust for Scotland
Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity
Tiny Changes

We also proudly support the outstanding work of Refuweegee, a community-led charity dedicated to ensuring people forced to flee their homes receive a warm Scottish welcome and the practical support they need to begin rebuilding their lives.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

Every wedding ceremony conducted by The Scottish Celebrants Organisation helps create a lasting legacy beyond the day itself.

For every legal marriage ceremony we conduct, we plant a tree through Trees for Life, supporting their mission to rewild the Scottish Highlands, restore native habitats and protect Scotland's natural environment for future generations.

Together with our couples, we are proud to celebrate love while helping to protect the landscapes that make Scotland so special. Click here to help grow our grove and rewild the Scottish Highlands

SUPPORTING FAMILIES THROUGH LOSS

At The Scottish Celebrants Organisation, we believe that no family should face additional financial pressure when experiencing the loss of a young loved one. As part of our commitment to supporting communities across Scotland, all funeral ceremonies for individuals aged 30 years and under are conducted entirely free of charge by our organisation.

Losing someone at such a young age is a heartbreaking experience, and while we cannot ease the grief, we hope that by removing the cost of a celebrant, we can provide one less thing for families to worry about during an incredibly difficult time. Every family deserves a meaningful, personal and dignified farewell, regardless of their financial circumstances. This initiative forms part of our wider commitment to tackling funeral poverty and ensuring compassionate support is available when it is needed most.

If you, a funeral director or a family member would like to discuss arranging a ceremony under this commitment, please don't hesitate to contact us in complete confidence.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our work extends far beyond ceremonies.

Every day our celebrants are actively involved within their local communities, supporting charitable initiatives, fundraising events, volunteering and helping individuals and families wherever they can. We firmly believe that making a difference doesn't begin and end with a ceremony—it is something we strive to achieve every day.
